It was a modern and nice place. Swimming pool was very well maintained. It was close to beach, bars and a supermarket is at the entrance. 10mins by walk from the bus station to go to Heraklion. The staff was really kind.

This was my fourth time staying at Villa Mare Monte, and once again, everything exceeded my expectations! We loved every part of our stay. The position is excellent, close to the center but yet isolated enough to be quiet; great access to the beach and comfortable beds; the staff is very friendly and helpful. The food at the bar/restaurant is also very good. We only regret we couldn't stay more days...

Very nice location for exploring Eastern Crete by car. The hotel is close to the historical centre, the lively party street, and a beautiful sandy beach. The apartment was spacious enough for our family of four, and having a small kitchen was a great bonus. Breakfast was delicious, with a menu to choose from — the kids especially loved the crepes :) But what truly makes this place special is the owner, who goes out of their way to make your stay as pleasant and relaxing as possible. No stress :)

    We had a lovely time at Socrates hotel! Even if it was just for a day , the location was ideal as it was just across the central beach of Malia !     Good value for the price we paid. Our bedroom was facing the another aparthotel, I guess it was quieter than the ones facing the road. The children loved the swimming pool at Philoxenia Hotel Apartments. The breakfast was also nice, for the price 9 euros. The owner Maria and the reception girl were very attentive and helpful, always eager to help out with recommendations or anything we'd need.
