The view from the wall to wall windows is wonderful. Cecila, who delivers breakfast everyday, is very kind and helpful. There is a restaurant next door and other places to eat along the waterfront.

We could see the lighthouse in the distance at night and the stars. The fireplace was very effective at heating up the space and we were cosy and warm to enjoy a game of cards, while it rained and was windy outside. We all loved it a lot- so much so our children wanted to stay longer. They also played with Rolo the friendly dog who was always up for pats.

Located in Castro, Hostal Plaza Chiloe provides free WiFi and sea views, 200 metres from Church of San Francisco. The place is 1 block away from the central plaza, where the restaurants and shops concentrate. It had a good shower, with hot water and a hair dryer. I was never cold, because I had an electric heater and an oil stove.
