There was easy parking in a basement car park around the corner (you had to pay extra but worth it for the convenience). The unit was huge and well kitted out. It had a washing machine (unfortunately no drier, but there was a drying rack and heat towel holder so that would suffice to dry socks and undies). It was a short wander to the main attractions in the city and plenty of shops and restaurants around.

Residence Masseria Santa Lucia is located in Matera and offers self-catering accommodation and en suite rooms, 3 km from the centre. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. Beautiful main building of the Masseria and beautiful surrounding grounds. We had a large room in one of the annexes. The staff was helpful, giving us very good information about visiting Matera. Very good breakfast. The entrance to the place is from a commercial street but once you are inside you experience beautiful and surprising views. Very good parking, Few minutes drive to historic area.
