Easy check in and great communication from host. Lovely place, super location and clean. Heater worked well as everything else. Loved the family chalets with two bedroom for our group of 12 we fitted easily into three of them.

Nice practical and comfortable setup. Perfect place to stay after a hard day's motorbike touring with a couple of mates. Beautiful 10-15 minute walk to the main part of town along the waterfront. Wonderful

Very clean cottage. We could park directly outside our cottage and that saved us the torture of moving the suitcases. We could cook in the kitchen and got our laundry done for a small fee. Jill at the reception was nice and helpful with our enquiries, board rental and kayak rental. Patrick's IGA and The Ship That Never Was are all a short drive away. Beautiful sunset at the esplanade.

    The photos online do not do the apartments justice. This is without a doubt the cleanest holiday rental apartment we’ve ever stayed at. Owners Paul and Sharon keep the place beautifully. The rooms are big and comfortable. Laundry facilities are fantastic and we were able to wash the car too. Paul was very kind and offered great advice on what was around locally. We arrived on Easter Sunday to a lovely basket of Easter eggs in our room- a very thoughtful detail. I would absolutely stay here again. Thanks Paul and Sharon.

    We had the Loft Studio - Lovely little B&B. The room was spacious and had all we needed. The shower was great and in a good location within Strachan but see comments below on 'view'.

    The owners, Paul and Sharon were great in presenting the rooms. Fully equipped laundry, clothes line and pegs provided. Car washing facilities were also available at a small cost. IGA about 100m away and short walk to water front. Would definitely stay here again and encourage others to choice Castaway Holiday Apartments.

    The apartment was beautifully presented, very roomy with all appliances top quality--nothing was left for chance! Added extras such as chocolate in the fridge, fresh milk and breakfast necessities added to the quality of our stay. We would recommend the Aloft Apartment to anyone.

    The apartment was lovely with the loft upstairs. It was very clean and the location was convenient. It would have been more convenient if the loft apartment had an ensuite as we had to use the toilet downstairs during the night.

    We were lucky to get the loft apartment above the house, which was superb. Everything one could wish for had been provided for a very comfortable stay. The apartment was roomy with tasteful decor and there was a small balcony for summer sitting. The double bed and pillows were so comfy. There was a folder of helpful information about the town and the loft and a couple of interesting books. The owner, Annie, was delightful and very friendly.

    We stayed at Aloft for 2 nights in a ground floor studio. Aloft more than met our needs and the large bed was very comfortable. The accommodation was close to town and the local IGA. However if you want to self cater try to visit a supermarket before you get to Strahan as the prices at the IGA are outrageous.
