If you are looking for a place to rest, recharge your energy, and connect with the Sahara, you’ve found it! Karam Camp Siwa is a very safe place, built in the desert. You can reach it in just 20 minutes by TukTuk. The room was clean, and the shower had hot water. The food, prepared by Chef Ahmed, was delicious. Although the camp offers services like desert tours with horses and cars, I didn’t need them because the campsite is located among the most beautiful dunes of the oasis. By walking for just 30 minutes, I was able to explore the lakes and dunes, reaching the highest dune in the region—an amazing spot for sandboarding and capturing breathtaking sunset photos. Beyond all this, the best part was the hospitality of the host, Karam. He is an incredibly honest and friendly person. During my stay, I truly connected with the desert life and its vast beauty. On top of that, my wife and I made wonderful friends here.

The reception here does not speak English, but that did not matter and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and Siwa. On our last day, our long-distance bus departed at night. So we tentatively decided that we couldn't do a normal check-out, for example, leave our luggage at the hotel and roam the streets in the heat until the bus time. So we asked for a late check-out, which we normally don't do. However, I was not charged any additional fee. I think this is a feeling of respect and kindness for travellers. To everyone reading this text, if you are also in such a situation, please do not abuse that feeling and pay the hotel properly as a gesture of goodwill(baksheesh). It is important to be taken care of the traveller and at the same time we had to give joyfully, i guess. And if you will come to Siwa, please stay at this hotel. It is a safe accomodation where you can feel the real warmth of the Berber people and there is no sense of fraud. Best of all, it is close to the town centre! And a little further in, you can get a glimpse into the life of the Siwa people! Balcony is very large! Super landscape!!!

I was originally supposed to only stay one night at Paloma Lodge from 6 Nov to 7 Nov, but because I enjoyed my stay here so much, I decided to extend for 4 more nights, only checking out on 10 Nov instead. Paloma Lodge is very well located, with only about 5 mins’ walk away from Siwan town centre where all the restaurants, cafés and shops are located. Apart from that, it’s only a stone’s throw away from a fresh water spring, where it’s perfect for an early morning or mid-afternoon swim. The host, Captain Nair, is super kind, warm and hospitable! He made me feel very welcomed and because I was a solo female traveller, he would check on me when I’m out later in the evening. In fact, he invited me to dinners at the lodge with lovely meals, either prepared by the good Captain himself, or his lovely housekeeper, Safie! The lodge is very tastefully decorated and kept very clean. The one-room apartment that I stayed in was very cosy and was sufficiently equipped with kitchen appliances, such as; electric kettle, toaster oven and a fridge. I will definitely stay at Paloma Lodge again, when I come back to Siwa!! It was a very enjoyable and cosy homestay which felt like you are with family. A home away from home.

Our stay at Siwa Pyramid was absolutely wonderful! Right from the start, we were warmly welcomed by Bekri, who turned out to be extremely helpful, polite, and communicative. His positive attitude and kindness made us feel comfortable right away. The apartment has been recently renovated, is very clean, and fully equipped. It includes a washing machine, a gas stove, and all the necessary appliances, ensuring a convenient and comfortable stay. All the furniture, mattresses, and equipment are brand new, making the interior even more cozy. The location is another great advantage – the apartment is situated right in the center of Siwa, making it easy to reach shops, restaurants, and other places worth visiting. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, modern, and well-located stay in Siwa. It’s definitely worth coming here!

    Friendly host, trying his best to make everyone comfortable, but he wasn't there all the time. Sometimes there was just a boy who didn't speak English. He seemed to be the one that needed to do all the cleaning. Large apartment. Central location in Siwa.

    The owner and manager Walid were very helpful before and during arrival. They gave me useful tips on where to eat and what to do. They arranged for a nice guide to do excursions for decent prices. The apartment was clean and comfortable to stay in. Facilities worked well. Location is also central to anything. Can highly recommend it.

    It's a big apartment well located a couple of minutes from the city center. They let me check in early in the morning and the personel was very nice and attentive. They helped me and explained me patiently how to use the washing machine, which was a bit complicated.
