The house is huge, and has everything you need, bedding, towels, some snacks and convenience store food. The bathroom and shower were very clean and smelled good. The rooms were also clean and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped with cutlery, a microwave and kettle. It's very quiet here too so you will sleep well. It's a great location to see the Nachi Falls and it's within walking distance. Please know, that there are no convenience stores or food stores close by so be prepared for that.

Staying in an old-school Japanese house was a great experience for a foreigner like myself. The house is equipped with everything you need, including a stove, pan, utensils, microwave, fridge, and a small oven. The location is also very convenient—there’s a supermarket just a five-minute walk away, and a bus stop only two minutes away. The bus takes you directly to many famous attractions, including the three well-known shrines, which is especially helpful on rainy days when you don’t want to walk far after getting off the bus. While the cleanliness isn’t at a “hotel” level (as it’s not a hotel), the owner was very responsive to any issues I had. On the first night, I realized that the air conditioner wasn’t working, which was frustrating given that it was 30 degrees inside. However, after I contacted the owner, they came the next day to check the AC. I didn’t expect it to be fixed immediately, but to my surprise, the owner brought and installed a portable air conditioner while I was out sightseeing. I came back to a “new” AC! Overall, I had a pleasant three-day stay.

Large self-contained flat exceeded my expectations. Right by the waterfront. It was very nice of Tanaka to pick us up and drop us off at the train station, even though it's not a long walk to the flat.
