If you want to experience a traditional Japanese residence, there is no better place than this. It is very close to the Naoshima Town Bus stop, so it is easy to access. The interior is very clean, the garden is nice, and the Naoshima Community Hall is also nice to see through the window. It was so sad that my family could only stay here for one day.

A beautiful and spacious house not far from the port to Naoshima. The host picked us up at the train station and took us back there at the end of our stay - exceptional service. The house was retro, perfectly presented and had two large bedrooms with both western and tatami beds. The hosts kindly set up a cot and put a child seat on an e-bike to accommodate the child in our group. Free bikes (3 e-bikes and regular pedal bikes) were available in the shed. Local udon and sushi restaurants were great. It’s a short cycle to the port to the art islands and we were able to take the bikes on the ferry to explore the islands. Recommend for a home-like stay. Thank you for your fantastic hospitality!

Our stay at Lemon Tree was the best part of our Japan trip and we absolutely loved it. Kentaro and Kumi went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The hotel is beautiful in its rawness with a lot of thoughtful details. We loved our time sitting on the deck, watching the sunset and drinking delicious craft beer. We had two amazing dinners – probably the best food of the whole trip. The herbal tea and the herbal steam sauna were awesome too! Go for a walk to the lighthouse and don’t miss out on the forest detour (follow the daffodils signs) – it’s a bit steep but totally worth it. A day trip to Naoshima is very doable and totally worth it (definitely book an electric bike when you, it’s hilly, and make sure you book Chichu museum in advance).

The house is in a fantastic location on the island, right on the swimming beach. It's spacious and clean. The food provided by Rika was delicious! She was able to cater for two vegetarians in our party which was really appreciated.

We booked the entire house with three bedrooms, which was perfect for our family trip with a 9-month-old baby. It provided privacy, so we didn’t have to worry about disturbing others or being disturbed. Initially, we had some trouble finding the entrance door password, but a service staff member from Thailand arrived promptly and resolved the issue efficiently. He spoke excellent English, gave us a detailed introduction to the house facilities, and recommended some great nearby restaurants. The house was well-maintained, clean, and conveniently located within a short walking distance of Ritsurin Garden.
