Normal japanese apartment building, you can live a bit like you were home. Just a few light rail stops from Utunomiya-eki with ~10min between trains, worked well as a base of operations for exploring Nikkou. I was fine taking the slow train (utsunomiya line) from ueno, pretty views on the way too. Staff spoke best english on my 3-week trip so far.

It was spacious and had everything you might need. The wifi was very good and you could watch Netflix on the tv. The air con worked well.

Manager was friendly. House is clean and organised with English labels on appliances. Coffee was great! Air-conditioning in both rooms. Happy to stay again next time.

The apartment is very good, it is a whole house with two bedrooms, kitchen, dining room and bathroom, all very spacious and clean. The host was always in contact with us and was very kind, he even let us check in earlier than planned because there was availability. The beds are comfortable and the apartment has all the facilities. Arrival was very easy, he gave us a code with which we could enter.

The house was surprisingly roomy, with 2 large bedrooms, a dining room area, and a kitchen area. We enjoyed warming up with the kotatsu in the morning and evening (it was very cold outside during our stay). The location worked very well for us to head i to the historic Nikko area every day, but there were several great restaurants in the vicinity that we used for dinner. Parking was easy for our large car. This was a great stay for us!
