The accommodation is absolutely wonderful. Each cottage is tucked away in a lush cinnamon plantation, offering guests complete privacy and a serene atmosphere. The cottages are impeccably clean and air-conditioned, ensuring a comfortable stay. The location is peaceful, just a 10-minute walk from the beach. Initially, we booked for just one night, but after experiencing this place—by far the best of the seven accommodations we stayed at in Sri Lanka—we decided to extend our stay. The host is exceptionally warm and attentive, making sure every guest feels welcome. Breakfast is another highlight, as the host thoughtfully prepares whatever guests desire, whether it's a traditional local dish or something more familiar.

Had a nice stay. Very large room with all the facilities like kitchen, fridge, washing machine. They have fresh water bathroom, but it doesn't matter because it's very hot. Close to everything such as beaches, cafes, public transport and grocery stores. The staff was very helpful and very nice. Highly recommend and definitely worth what we paid for.

We originally planned to stay at the great water for 2 weeks and ended up extending for an additional 2 weeks. We really loved our stay, the family who run it are extremely kind constantly checking if we needed anything, they also cleaned the rooms often. We really loved the location super close to Marshmallows surf spot and central Ahangama. There is also a fully equipped kitchen which we loved being able to cook our own food. The Air con works perfectly. There is also a garage to keep ur bike- and they let us use their washing machine too. During our stay it was Sri Lankan new year and the family shared their traditional food with us, and even cooked up a “non spicy” dish for us which we really appreciated !! Sweetest people who went above and beyond for us we couldn’t recommend enough if you like a chilled out vibe. If we were to come back we would stay here again!

Had all the facilities that we wanted. Outside balcony with table and seating with fan. Use of the kitchen. Free laundry. The nice chap that runs the place gave us a lift to the turtle sanctuary in his Tuk Tuk and also helped us get a reasonable price for kayak hire. All in all, a good place to stay.

    Everything was perfect, it was 100% remote work friendly. I know many struggle with internet in Midigama, but this apartment helped me have zoom calls, it was super stable. I loved the outside shower, perfect to wash after jumping in the ocean and to clean your surfboard. Highly recommend for all facilities, location and also host is super helpful!

    This place is a hidden gem! We had a wonderful time in Midigama. The location is just perfect: close to the beach and surf spot (just a walk of 5 min) and the main road but very quite and peaceful by the same time. Very supportive & caring host, beautiful property, super clean and modern apartment + fully equipped kitchen, well-working AC, reliable wifi-connection and comfortable bed: You'll find everything you'll need, even for a long-term stay. Couldn't have asked for more! Highly recommended! Thank you so much!
