The place and the rooms, well decorated, are very beautiful! You can use a big kitchen with all you need. The lush garden is full of fruits you can eat. But what adds greatly to the place is Jose! One of the best hosts I had worldwide. He is professional but also super laid back, he is kind and authentic, very often around chitchatting with everyone. He instills a very pleasant mellow atmosphere in the Casa. Muito obrigada, Jose!

The location was near the main street but still quiet. The place was very well equipped. The host was extremely helpful and accommodating of our requests. The kitchen has a grill, coffee maker, rice cooker, microwave, and an electric kettle. It was perfect to make a great breakfast as well as some simple meals. The place is also wonderfully decorated, and there were always a bunch of birds around. Highly recommended.

I don’t have words to describe how welcome and comfortable I felt at Ancoradouro. It was like being at home, they helped me with everything I needed! Either to remove stains, or to suggest me amazing guides on the island! The breakfast is amazing and the kitchenette is for simple meals but very effective and well equipped for that. The flat was really comfy and the shower pressure amazing compared to other places in the island. Location is also good! You can’t hear any surrounding noises on the flats and thank god for that. I didn’t want to leave!!
