My family and I had a very relaxing stay at Lydia Mare. The hotel is right on the beach with exceptional views. It was priceless to watch the sunrise and sunset from our room every day. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to make simple meals. The owner is a very kind person, he carried my two extremely heavy suitcases to the second floor both on our arrival and on our last day. Thank you for that again and for your hospitality. There are many good restaurants and cafes in the village, we were very impressed with all of them, but among all of them Kritikos really stood out. My daughters and I also went on a snorkeling tour with the diving centre near the hotel. They were lovely people too! Finally, the bar at the far end of the beach is amazing, we had great drinks there while enjoying a great view. All in all, it was a wonderful experience. We hope to visit again next summer.

Intelligent, sensible et de bons conseils, il nous a reçues et guidées au mieux. Son logement est un havre de paix en pleine nature. Regret : ne pas mieux maîtriser l'anglais pour échanger davantage avec lui. Nous le remercions infiniment.

The property was very clean and comfortable, and had everything that we needed during our stay. The view was amazing and the location very good as only a short walk to the harbour, shops and restaurants. The host was very quick with responses to my questions.

It is located very close to Evdilos. the property was clean and had a kitchen which was a bonus. The whole process from booking to arrival was easy. Would definitely book again.

Panagiotis, Vaso, and their adorable baby Dionysos are the most welcoming hosts, making you feel right at home. Panagiotis’s love for music adds an extra layer of charm to the experience. If you're looking for comfort, relaxation and a warm, genuine welcome, this is the place to be. Highly recommend!

L’hébergement The Mesaktis River Rooms propose un jardin et une terrasse. We are currently staying in Karavostamo but fancied a change of scenery. I had holidayed in Greece for 21 of the 26 years together, but recently my partner died and I have found it difficult to settle this year. The Mesaktis Rooms were exactly what I needed. A beautiful tranquil setting, our terrace looked down on to a small lagoon. The owners gave me and my friend homemade lemonade and the most delicious homegrown figs, which we consumed whilst overlooking the lagoon, which was home to over 30 turtles! We were given bread with which to feed them. What a sight to feast your eyes on while we drank our delicious lemonade! The accommodation is rustic, it’s not luxurious, but it’s what we both loved about this place. There are tavernas beds are comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need to make a simple meal. There are tavernas maybe 5 minutes walk away, a mini market next door, and over the road there is probably the best beach on Ikaria - Mesaktis beach. At the far end is a lagoon in which you can see even more turtles! The hosts, as you may have picked up on, were so generous and warm. I miss the place, the kittens and Sadi the dog already. This has been the standout experience so far of this 3 week Greek island hopping trip. I absolutely loved it, and it helped me along in my grief journey. To the owners: thank you for your hospitality, for letting me leave the car on your premises after we had checked out, and sorry for taking the room key!
