There is a free boat shuttle provided by the hotel for pick up and drop off in Rio dulce to a specific schedule, cheap kayak rental, quiet atmosphere and friendly (and mostly competent) staff. They can also easily arrange you a highly recommended boat trip to Livingston.

The location is really beautiful surrounded by forests. The restaurant is a great place to socialize with hammocks and games. The food is reasonably priced given the remote location and the staff are helpful with organizing tours, shuttles and letting you use the canoes for free to go swimming.

The best place we’ve stayed in Guatemala. Perfect place to see some birds and relax. Run by a very sweet family in a peaceful part of the world. Reasonable food prices and kayak rentals.
