The holiday flat is quite close to the Sakura spot of Tenshochi Park and the Michinoku folk museum. The flat is located at the riverside with a lovely view and is decorated prettily. The owner is nice. She showed us some beautiful places when we arrived and drove us to the station when we had to leave.

The Japanese room was beautiful and HUGE! I stayed by myself and it felt like an apartment all to myself, very indulgent. Very close to the station and easy to get to Hiraizumi to see the UNESCO Temples from here.

Excellent breakfast - best mackerel I've ever had! Location an easy 17-minutes walk on the flat from the railway station. Appreciated the hot bath just before bedtime, then refreshing yonakisoba noodles. Plenty of eateries nearby for evening meal.
