Great location, very close to the boat terminal and food market. Free black coffee and occasional pineapples! Suely put up with my lack of Portuguese language/ use of Google translate very patiently 🤣 She also helped me when my card didn’t work in any of the local ATMs. I felt very welcome despite being on my own. The pousada is very cute, lots of plants everywhere! Upstairs there is a space to chill out, including a hammock. I don’t think there’s enough photos of the garden in the description so I’ve added some more I took myself 😊

Everything you want in a hostel while travelling. Great value for money, perfect for the simple traveller. My son had the room and I stayed in the main area, met three cool people as well travelling through. Vivian is great. Loads of information and was great even with our language barrier.
