It is in a magical setting on the golfe dulce. Villa was so beautiful Sergio and Katie (the owners) make you feel so welcome.

We can conclude that this was our most amazing stay during our 3-week holiday. It was a gorgeous place: great rooms, amazing views, excellent food, and above all very friendly owners (and their cute dogs) that treat you like friends and were always ready to help with stuff. We highly recommend visiting Manolo!

Great place to stay - easily accessible by car. Very clean, hospitable, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and made early on request to ensure you have enough time to embark on any tours.

The lodge is surrounded by nature in a clearing directly on the Golfo Dulce. There are only 6 bungalows, so the number of guests remains small and this provides a very relaxed atmosphere. The bungalows each have 2 bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms, one of which has an outdoor shower. In one of the rooms there is an (empty) fridge, a coffee machine and a tea maker. There is no television (why would there be in this environment). There is no air conditioning, only a ceiling fan, which is quiet and efficient. All terraces offer beautiful views over the gulf. The two bedrooms are only separated by a thin wall, so you can hear everything that happens in the other room. They are therefore more suitable for families or if you know each other (very) well and can put up with that. We were travelling as two couples and didn't realise this. We felt it was a great courtesy that we were offered accommodation in separate bungalows for at least 3 of the 4 nights we had booked, as the booking situation allowed for this. We also felt that we were well looked after in every other respect. Everyone was very friendly and our every wish was fulfilled. There were lots of animals to watch and the best thing was the macaws that had their lunch in a tree on the beach every evening. We had a partner massage in an enchanted spa in the forest by a stream, which was unique. You get used to the lack of air conditioning surprisingly well, especially as it cools down to 20°C at night and the bungalows are open all round (protected by fly screens). Contrary to expectations, there were hardly any mosquitoes. The food was very good and varied enough for a 4-day stay. There was only a small salad as an alternative to soup as a starter, in this respect there could be a little more choice. Everything is very attractively designed. Thanks to the Kunken team for a great stay at this special place! We will definitely be back.

Very nice host who helped us with everything we wanted to do during our stay. The cabins give a close contact with nature outside due to net windows. You wake up to howling monkeys instead of the rooster. Good food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Great bungalow on the hill, with incredible view over the jungle and Drake bay. Very helpful owners help organising the daily tours, breakfast is available. 5-10 minutes walk to the beach and the town, depending if down or up the hill :)

The most fantastic location away from tourist and direct at the beach with wildlife just outside. The hosts were the so sweet and helpfull and the food was great.

Perfect communication (via booking.com or whatsapp) before arrival.During stay were incredibly helpful in everything (they live a dozen or so meters from the Villa and responds within a few minutes for every inquiries or requests sent by whatsapp).They treat you like a friend, not a customer.Have very professional knowledge according to nature, animals, area etc. so they are also very interesting people to talk to.Host has a biology education and is a very professional guide (especially regarding nature, birds and ecotourism) and I recommend much more tours with Nony (he has many options from 2 hours to the whole day), which are much more interesting then tours in NP Corcovado.Both owners are foreigners so they have a comprehensive view of client's needs. 2. Great place and location! House is located in a beautiful place at the "end of the world" (one of the last houses, several kilometers south of Drake's Bay, 50m from the jungle; 20m from the bay (when you can swim) and on several km long beach. If you are looking for a place which are: modern, comfortable and at the same time secluded and quiet this is the place !!! New, very modern house in a European style (brick walls, large - from floor to ceiling - (glass) windows in the bedroom, which are also sliding doors to the terrace (in addition to the windows/doors, there is also a second sliding "layer" in the form of a mosquito net so you can have windows wide open and the mosquito net closed!), modern bathroom, new and efficient air conditioning in the bedroom, large and very well-equipped kitchen where you can cook full meals; large covered terrace. From bedroom/terrace view to the garden and...to the sea (you can hear the sound of the waves at night! Beautiful, very large (3 ha) garden with various plants, a pond and... animals that visit the garden in front of the house every day
