Highly recommend stay at Villa Manolo Ocean and Forest View Hotel , the hotel is run by a delightful really hardworking local family , who all provide exceptional guest/customer service and genuinely care about each guest experience. We stayed in the King Room, very spacious, super clean, everything worked (super cool aircon/fridge, large shower & comfy bed) and outside sitting area/view from the balcony amazing! Evening meals were exceptional (especially the fresh fish/tuna selections) Mrs. Manolo is a wonderful talented chef!! Leading up to our stay I needed assistance on arranging tours, boat trips, taxi etc., communication with Adonis was excellent, everything was taken care of, super-efficiently making our tip and stay at Villa Manolo the highlight of our Costa Rica holiday, as the Villa Manolo Family really made our stay extra special – A big thank you again to you all!! Traveler’s Tip: For ease of travel to Drake Bay, yes people drive but as the road conditions rather challenging, for ease and less stress suggest leave the hire car at Sierpe (there is secure paid parking) and arrange the boat trip 😊 (we were lucky our boat went through the mangroves, so an added bonus!)

Great place to stay - easily accessible by car. Very clean, hospitable, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and made early on request to ensure you have enough time to embark on any tours.

Amazing hotel in a perfect location right on the beach and with lot of fauna and flora around. The villas are incredible, very comfortable and spacious. Staff is very kind and professional. Good help to book tours to Corcovado park with a great guide (Bolivar). Food in the restaurant is very good

A fantastic location close to Drake Bay and Corcovado National Park. The family owning the place is doing a great job, the rooms are made every day, the food tastes very good and they give advices and organize tours if requested. All this for a very fair price for the area. I recommend the place to everyone looking for a simple, yet very nice and authentic accommodation.

I can hardly describe how incredible and relaxing my stay at Los Paniquines was. Rafa and Esther were the most fantastic hosts I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. When my boat arrived, Rafa was already waiting for me on the beach, carrying my bag to the lodge, where I was warmly welcomed with a glass of Fresco. Esther is an amazing cook, and when I asked for a lighter dinner with more vegetables, she and Rafa prepared a truly first-class dish for me. They even did my laundry, which I really appreciated after two weeks of traveling. The lodge itself was perfect—clean, comfortable, and peaceful. It’s located just 100 meters from the beach, and you can take the path to the left into the wilderness, where you’ll find plenty of wildlife, or head right for a scenic walk of over an hour to Drake Bay, crossing an incredible river on a hanging bridge. Be sure to bring hiking shoes! When it was time to leave in the morning, Rafa once again walked with me to the beach, carrying my bag and organizing the boat for me. I would absolutely recommend this place, and who knows—maybe it will become your next holiday destination!

Provide an excellent breakfast everyday. Three separate bungalows with balconies and chairs for sitting outside. Hot water showers with fresh linens. Beach access right across the road where all the boats arrive for excursions. Management arranged water activity, snorkeling, etc, along with transportation to Drake airport. The most beautiful stay in our whole costarica stay. Building is alone in huge!! garden full of life but very near to the beach. Modern and simple equipment, spacious bedroom with huge window right to the garden and beach (which is usually completely empty). Gardent is partly trimmed but half of it is made for the wild life (and i saw tapir there). It is very close to the rainforest, where you can just walk by yourself. Nony and Karin are super hosts, helping with aranging dinner, transport, tours, bringing coconut, .... everything.
