Wow this place is on point, clean comfortable , modern and safe! Close to everything seriously the train station 12mins walk, the beach 5 mins walk the supermarket is 6mins ! But not only that the restaurant was so good the food so tasty the staff and service was awesome! I can not rate this high enough ! Was so surprised and impressed by this place ! It was a stopover for us for 2 nights on our way to Sicily and we wished it was for longer! Highly recommend this little town !

Loved the local vibe & full Italian experience. Check in was easy, very close to the train station. The room (#1) is large with a modern bathroom, exceptionally clean. It is very quiet and there is a nice restaurant (il Pavone pizza), which serves more than pizza, nearby as well. Usually we would search further for dinner but it was pouring with rain when we arrived so we were grateful for the convenience. Also, Reception/ Check is in a different building to which you sleep, which is also a cafe & the breakfast place, (18 il Nuova del Porto). It is very simple to find, even closer to the train. The owner/manager was very friendly and walked us to the actual room with the keys showing us everything. There is a shared kitchen if you wish. Breakfast was at the cafe, traditional croissant, coffee, toast & jam.

We cannot thank our host Joe enough, he collected us from the train station and gave us a quick but comprehensive tour of the town , highlighting areas of interest. The apartment lived up to expectations, spotlessly clean with a few essentials already available. Could not wished for anything more but what about the view……amazing view of the coastline, to die for. A very nice quiet town to visit, great there were no shopping malls, the town centre before you get to the old town ( go to the church in the old town! Amazing ceiling artwork) a 15 minute walk. Paola was a much needed stopover for us, we did not venture our for meals, we went to the interspar supermarket a good hour return trip by a brisk walk, had everything we needed , cooked a meal in the apartment, everything was there pots , pans and cleaning requirements. If you want to dine out Joe will tell you places to go during his tour of the town, on our first day we did a late afternoon walk down the promenade the only thing we found that a few of the restaurants started accepting diners from 7:30. A short but very pleasant stay came to an end , only disappointment was we did not have enough time to visit the monastery. Joe also returned us to the train station, again we can it thank him enough.

Location perfect close to train station and easy to find. We were greeted by Paola who was a delight and very helpful. Clean and roomy.

Amantea's Mediterraneo Palace Hotel is just 200 metres from the sea. It offers a panoramic rooftop terrace, and a large garden with palm trees and outdoor swimming pool. Parking and Wi-Fi are free.

Breakfast was very good, plentiful and a healthy variety of fruit. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Location was central, very close to the train station and beach, and being able to use the hotels bicycles was a great. Fun to ride the beach boardwalk and cruise around Amantea. Would definitely stay again.
