I came here after climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, my main goal was to sleep, swim and relax after the hike. Overall, perfect place if you are looking for a little hideaway. Lovely sea view from my room. A number of hamocks, couches and sunbeds along the sea front to chose from to chill and sleep. Didnt feel overcrowded, very relaxed atmosphere, food, drinks, massage all well priced

All things in this hotel are exceptional. The location, the staff ( the head manager, Mr. Hanna and the cheif Mr. Amr), the meals, the veiw and the hotel is like a very magnificent garden. Great location with beautiful views in quiet fishing village. Comfortable beds, huge bathroom, very clean. Beautifully maintained garden and villas. We loved the food in the restaurant, all the seafood dishes were super fresh and very tasty. Their curry and pilau were super good too. We didn't try any of meat dishes but being on Zanzibar you can't expect a wide range of them. We liked the breakfast options too. The massage I got there was amazing, I strongly recommend it. We liked the staff as well, very friendly and professional.

If you need to unwind in one of this Planets most beautiful spots and aren't too hung up on luxury, this place is for you. I had a great time and truly appreciated the kind, honest and helpful hosts, Sarah and Omi and their lovely children. Simply the best host family you could imagine. Also I enjoyed the food cooked and grilled by Sarah and Omi. Fresh Kingfish, Barracuda and Dorado. But what really knocked my socks off was Omis charcoal grilled octopus. Oh, and the breakfast is great. Good coffee, fantastic mango fruit, chapati bread, eggs and some variation from day to day, wich is not something you should expect in all Zanzibari hotels. Oh, and did I mention that from the fine terrace you step right into the Indian Ocean. And 500 yds to the west lies about 50 fishing dhows at their buys. An hour before sunset is a good time to enjoy the fleet sailing into the sundown. I had binoculars and a cold sundowner beer ready.. About noon the tide comes in and its time for swimming. You can get dolphin and snorkeling tours from the nearby village that also has some good and laid-back restaurants. There is no AC but a good fan in the room. I found that to be sufficient. I believe I'll go again January next and take my wife with me. I think it would also be a great place for young families with children.
