This place is as beautiful as the pictures. The staff is very warm/ friendly and very welcoming. The hotel is very clean. The breakfast selection was good. The hotel is at the beach front so u wake up to sea views ( sea facing rooms) and could take morning / early evening walks🌅. You can book your activities through the hotel. Most importantly the hotel is family friendly as well. Sea food platter was delicious 🤩

Beautiful place where even small details are well considered. Owners Thomas and Malgo are extremely professional and ready to make your vacation wonderful. Their chef/cook is making wonderful dishes that beats easily the food at The Rock restaurant. Their masseur at SPA is really good!

The rooms are veritable oases of tranquility and comfort. Every detail has been lovingly designed with an eco-concept in mind, without compromising on luxury. Each morning, we enjoyed spectacular views of the turquoise Indian Ocean from our balcony - a dream in white and blue. The culinary offerings at Eco Shic are simply sensational. The kitchen delighted us with a perfect fusion of local specialties and international dishes. Fresh seafood, exotic spices, and crisp vegetables - every meal was a feast for the senses. The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired, and the sundowner at the beach bar was the perfect end to each day. The staff deserves special mention. Their friendliness, attentiveness, and warm Zanzibari charm made our stay truly special. Whether it was for excursion tips, special requests, or just a friendly chat - the team was always on hand to ensure we felt completely at ease. The hotel's location is ideal for trips to the famous Stone Town or the spice plantations. But honestly, it was hard to leave the idyllic Eco Shic at all. The private beach section with its palm trees and powder-soft white sand invited us to dream and relax.

We especially want to praise the owner Mariola as well as the friendly staff who are always smiling and ready to help, near to the beach, very tasty food. Amazing location on a quiet beach! Truly the most incredible stay, made even better by the amazing staff who were so helpful, kind and friendly! The food was absolutely delicious, every meal was better than the last! It was a very special few days in Matemwe. Will be dreaming of returning!
