It's totally self-contained. You enter via the road and it is detached from the host's main dwelling (which sits behind it). So you have a whole little cottage to yourself. Best value in Glenelg! We received a message shortly after booking with Peter and Helen's numbers, and they were very responsive on text as check-in approached and key handover was easy with Peter meeting us at the door. They're both lovely people, and Peter even has a quite large claim to fame (ask him what it is when you meet him)! We had complimentary home made cookies and jam to enjoy during our stay... which were so delicious that we had to buy more at the honesty box behind the cottage. It sits on a tree-lined street in a lovely residential area, with a close walk to cafes and pubs and a short drive (or medium walk) to Glenelg pier. Beds were comfy, bedrooms were well sized, the cottage is warm and well insulated, bathroom was tastefully finished and overall it just immediately felt like home for a few days. A perfect base of operations to return to and relax at the end of the day. If you need to stay in Glenelg, hopefully this review is the one that gives you peace of mind that Penzance Cottage is a spot you won't regret booking. Our group of three couldn't fault it.
