About location: if you're looking for a typical tourist hotel with a view, where you can safely walk to the beach and meet other tourists and locals jogging, biking, etc, this is not your hotel. I gave high marks for location because I was not looking for a beachfront hotel, and Caldinho do Nenem is a 3-minute walk, which almost justifies the stay by itself -- it's a wonderful experience. For any other things, I had a car ;)

Set in a beautiful park next to Olinda´s São Francisco Convent, this hotel features a colonial museum and modern rooms. Free Wi-Fi, free parking and a large pool are available. What a fantastic hotel! It felt like a luxury resort right in the middle of Olinda old town, surrounded by tropical nature. The staff was wonderful and the swimming pool perfection. Would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Located beachfront in Porto de Galinhas, 2 km from the city centre, this guest house offers rooms with private balconies with sea views. I can not say enough of how much we liked this pousada. We were satisfied with everything. We originally were supposed to stay 1 week and then travel to Pipa and Maragogi for 2 weeks. We decided to cancel our stay in Pipa/Maragogi and prolonged our stay in Pousada Ecoporto since it was so wonderful.
