Helmi and his wife and family are so nice. there's even a tofu restaurant small business in the front of the homestay, very cute. it's on the beach which is great, easy to rent snorkel gear (about 50k/day) and a motorbike (also about 100k/day). right next door to Blueshark diving, Dion and Jeffrey and the crew here are awesome. The snorkeling is also nice right at the reef at the property, just swim like 50-100m out (takes 5 mins). Amazing sunsets. Room is simple. A bit hot in the mornings. There's free coffee/water/tea. Bathroom is simple, just 1 bathroom shared with 3 rooms. i hope to stay again!

Blending nicely with the countryside, in a relaxed and family style atmosphere, Raja Laut Dive Resort offers bungalows built with wood from coconut palms. We've been away for 5 months and this is one of favourite places so far. We'd definitely return. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming. There are only 7 rooms so feels really cosy and everyone staying eats, dives/snorkels and socialises together as a group (we were lucky to have such a good group during our stay). We were in bungalow 6 which was spacious, clean and comfortable. We also had the the best spot in the resort, overlooking the sea and catching the breeze. The location of the resort is perfect as you can walk out to snorkel at a beautiful reef and drop off. The dive/snorkel trips were really well organised and a lot of fun. The food was excellent, plentiful and varied; my non-fish eating was well taken care of. We especially loved pizza night and the sambal!

My stay at The Queen's Guest House was pleasant. The accommodation was very comfortable, with great amenities and a great view of nature. Yuli and Mehdi are incredible hosts who make you feel right at home. I had some amazing dives, and the professional instructors made the experience even better. I also enjoyed making friends and having fun conversations with other guests at the bar. To top it off, the food at the restaurant was amazing. Both the local and international options were very delicious. Can't wait to come back!

My homestay hostess Aci prepared wonderful meals that were well balanced and portions were plentiful. She spoke superb English and was instrumental in securing opportunities for snorkeling trips and all the necessary equipment which was my intended focus. The neighborhood where her homestay house is located provided a true Bunaken Island village experience. Bunaken Marine Park and boat access is right in the back yard as the property is on the water.

The room was very spacious, had a big bed and a very good fan that definitely cooled the room down enough. The bathroom was simple but worked perfectly and had everything you needed. Mama Lis was the kindest, most caring woman, always looking over my needs, cooking amazing dishes with a lot of variety and always had a very big smile on her face. I felt at home there and would have stayed even longer if I could have. If you want to have breakfast every day overlooking the ocean and the best host I would definitely recommend staying here.

I recommend beachfront, of course, it has a better view but also less noise from the roosters that are across the street. The double room has more indoor space, and big outdoor sofa bench, if that's what you need. It's right in the kampung village, so it's absolutely susceptible to more noise and activity; but it's also closer to the main pier and other restaurants. Lucky is a fantastic host, and the family puts a lot of care into the homestay. It's simple but very clean and cozy. There's many small thoughtful things about the place, it's an easy place to stay. The food is different every day, and it's easy to ask if you do/don't like something. Communication is very clear and prompt. The reef out front is a long swim before you see anything, but it's nearly the same with other places.
