Lighthouse Inn is a fantastic spot in Gardur only 15mins drive from the airport. We decided not to hire a car and so a taxi cost us about 6000krone from the airport and the next day we bussed into Reykjavik using the public buses. We dined at the hotel restaurant for dinner and were so well looked after by Roberto. The next morning we were treated to a fantastic breakfast! We were hoping to spot the northern lights while out of the city but weren’t lucky this stay but would definitely return again as the Lighthouse Inn feels like such a treat! The lady on reception when we arrived was an absolute delight as well! You won’t be disappointed by a stay here. The facilities are top notch and a walk around the lighthouses is a must, it’s a peaceful and gorgeous place to be.

The dramatic Atlantic coastline of Reykjanes is the setting for Ocean Break Cabins, with many walking routes found in the area. Little touch on having some basic essentials like coffee, oil and sugar all ready in the kitchen is a rare sight. Clean and nice stay. Hot tub easy to use. Definitely would come back and recommend.

The guest house has family rooms. Cosy and Warm! Perfect for March. Managed to see the lights out the back of the property.

Great house with everything you need to start your holidays. Very big and clean. Fantastic!

The family-run Hotel Keilir is within 5 minutes’ drive of Keflavík International Airport. It offers a shuttle service to the airport, plus free Wi-Fi and parking. All rooms have a balcony.

Keilir Hotel is a 15-minute drive from the Blue Lagoon Geothermal Spa. The Viking World Museum is 4 km away. Always good to stay at Keilir. My preferred choice in Keflavík.
