Our family had an amazing 4 nights staying with the incredibly generous Jazz and his wife. They cooked us a beautiful local meal which we shared with another family who were staying and introduced us to great local eating spots. Location was perfect, away from the main party zone but close enough to walk down and get amongst. The leafy courtyard provided a nice tranquil setting and the rooms were a generous size. The adjacent convenience store and transport services are excellent.

Rooms have a patio with garden views and free WiFi. I really liked the friendly and welcoming atmosphere at Agra Hostel. The space was clean, comfortable, and in a great location, but what really stood out was the hospitality. The owner, Nalaka, was absolutely brilliant - so helpful and genuine, he really made the stay memorable. Food was also amazing, I had both the Sri Lankan breakfast and the banana pancakes. And the coffee!!! Soooo good

This is PARADISE! exactly like I have seen it described in books. Everything is just created to make you not want to ever leave ❤️ me and my fiancé had such a great experience here. When we have arrived, we had a bad cold, and everyone has mobilized to make us feel better: pills, teas, all kinds of ayurvedic medicines were given to us to make us feel better. I felt like we were at our parents homes, and they're going above and beyond to make us feel better. Rooms: we got an upgrade to a room with bathroom and, even though we paid for the lower one, we were offered for free the upper one - very nice gesture 👍 we never slept better - ocean sound and breeze, there is a balcony for each cabana. Super clean, great design, bathrooms are big. Lovely :) The food: Italian base, I had the best pizza ever. Also, we love soup, so their chicken soup is perfect. Staff: amazing. Also, the owners are very fun and welcoming, it was a pleasure to meet them. Activities: the complex is at the ocean front. So we bathed and sun bathed, the weather was amazing. Also, you can learn how to surf, get a massage, play board games, go to safari, go into the lagoon on the beach or by boat, tuktuk to PottuVill, which is much better than Arugam Bay, being more local. I don't have enough good words for this accomodation. I am now looking at options to come back in Jan-Feb and stay for longer than 3 days 😄

The best part about this place is Mohammed, he made sure we were always comfortable, he always had delicious snacks for us. The room was really comfortable, with AC and a fan. Just next to the beach, and a really good surf school. Would recommend.

The accommodation offers room service, a 24-hour front desk and currency exchange for guests. Absolutely stunning, private, peaceful and relaxing. Our whole stay at Blue Water was perfect, the cabanas are cute, clean and spacious for couples. We couldn’t fault anything. We stayed for my 40th birthday and the team decorated our room, what a lovely surprise on entry. Although there is no air conditioning, the fans in the room are sufficient and the cabanas are designed well with openings for a breeze. Rinos is amazing, he was so attentive and looked after all of our needs. He’s really friendly, a pleasure to meet and an excellent chef. Sudha and Dinosan are both phenomenal, they make sure the whole area around the cabanas are pristine, they take so much pride and leave patterns in the sand for guests. There is a good variety of food, the fresh juices are so tasty. We had breakfast and dinner most days and Rinos catered for our tastes. The beach is private and only a few steps away, most days we were the only ones there, it is paradise. At night we fell asleep to the sound of the waves. Thank you Blue Water you made our stay unforgettable.

Iqbal and his staff were so warm and welcoming! They went above and beyond making sure I felt comfortable and enjoyed my stay! I was welcomed with delicious pineapple juice and a pastry. I ended extending my stay because it was such a warm and cozy place to spend a few days at the beach. Beach access is a few meters away. Iqbal also arranged surf lessons to peanut farm and I couldn’t recommend them enough! Best surf coach I’ve ever had! The room was very clean and spacious with hangers for wet clothes and storage. The hammocks outside each room are a very nice touch and relaxing. Each morning, the breakfast was very good and tasty! Lots of fresh fruit! Whatever you need, Iqbal and his team will take care of. Had a lot of nice chats with Iqbal. He will be missed! Wish I could stay for longer. Will definitely be back to this cozy piece of paradise.

Stay Golden has been one of our favourite stays of our entire time in Sri Lanka. Beautiful bungalows/apartments, the sweetest staff (our kids still miss them) and delicous and healthy food available from 8 AM until 9 PM. What we really liked was that there were always several families staying here and that the owners was also pretty much always around with their family, it created a nice and homely vibe in which we felt very welcome. Big thanks to Rihan and Angie and we hope to visit again some day!
