Palatupana Beach is 200 metres from O2 Villas Yala, while Tissa Wewa is 17 km from the property. Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport is 44 km away, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. Hands down our favourite hotel of the trip. The villa is gorgeous, plenty of space for the 5 of us. The whoops of joy as our kids explored the place said it all! Private pool, incredible food, attentive staff, wildlife all around. On our first evening, the guides took us to the red sand beach, about a 20 minute walk away. Very beautiful. You walk past a lake with baby crocs, can spot iguanas and other wildlife. Magical. We booked a safari through the hotel, the jeep was comfortable, and very reasonably priced. They packed us a breakfast to take with. The service was outstanding. We didn't want to leave.

This luxury tented camp is situated where the jungle meets a pristine beach, overlooking the blue waters of the Indian Ocean. The architecture and the design is so tastefully done , it blends in with the environment. The staff and the service is on point, we were travelling with our 2 year old daughter. The staff collected our baby’s lactose free milk and served it back boiled punctually despite inclement weather conditions , both morning and evening. The attention to detail of our dietary requirements in all the meals is another call-out. We would love to visit here again .

We could go for hours talking about Beach Bungalow Yala and especially its people. babu, Roshan and the team are the best people we met in Srilanka and probably in the world. They are kind, generous, genuine, sweet, smiling all the time. The stay was unforgettable in everything, the place itself is heaven on earth, the food is wonderful, the beach, the dogs, the cats… and again what made everything special was the energy of the people. We will never forget them in our entire life and we are coming again to stay here and to visit them.

Excellent place and service, Shoane, the owner was taking care of everything, great food and room. We also took the Safari with him , saw all the animals.

Amazing place lost from everywhere. It’s so peaceful, nice beach 1 beside, and they cook the food, super yummy. The family is super kind, and offered me to sleep at the terrace cause elephants come to eat during the night and I saw one!

The location is amazing with an elephant, monkeys and a range of other animals being seen around the property. The food was the best we have had - wonderful chef who changes the menu daily. The staff were exceptional, from our safari guide to the wait staff and room staff. They made our stay!
