It was so cozy and felt like a little cabin in the woods, but only a 10 minute walk from the ferry and from town. Very close to the bus stop to get you to so many wineries on the island. Would love to stay again!

Location was great!! Walk down and the Onetangi beach is right there. Super social hostel with many on whv. We played the lord of the rings edition of monopoly that we borrowed from reception and it was really fun! The shared showers were very hot and powerful. The bedroom was warm once we had the heater on. Diego, the manager was so kind!!

It was absolutely clean. Loved the hospitality of Ray and Mikki, with very lovely personal warm touches displayed such as welcome chocs and message, with a bottle of chilled wine for us. It was a wonderful bright modern space that we loved and would return again if we visit Waiheke

Wild Thyme is situated a 15-minute walk from Oneroa Village and a 35 minute ferry ride from downtown Auckland. Free WiFi and free private parking are available. The hosts, Bruce and Jules, were very welcoming and friendly. They were always available to help and answered any questions we had. Great service. Room was clean, comfy and had everything we needed. Very good view and good location. Just a few minute drive to most places we wanted to visit. The complimentary bottle of bubbles definitely enhanced our stay. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to have a nice, relaxing stay at Waiheke.

We loved the inclusion of beach towel/blanket which we used for a picnic. All the little details from the host exceeded expectations and made the stay lovely! The location was excellent, especially for an early morning ferry return.

This is a sunny, warm two bedroom cottage, in a central location - an easy 5 minute walk from the centre of Oneroa village. Rooms are light and bright, and the bathroom is fairly new and immaculately clean (as is the whole cottage). There is a heatpump for cooler days and good airflow with open wndows for hotter days. The cottage has a good deck for evening use during summer stays and a garden area in the front which is surprisingly private. The road itself is quiet and the whole experience is restful. The road is close to AT bus routes, so getting around without a car is pretty straightforward - it is a short run from the ferry terminal on the main bus route, for example. Decent sized fridge/freezer and a microwave in the kitchen. No oven but there is a portable double element unit in the cupboard for cooking with.

A small kitchenette downstairs was available to warm up my food and the coffee provided was wonderful. I did not get a chance to enjoy the outdoor seating area but would have if my trip had been longer. It was only a short walk into town for groceries or down to the beach. I had everything I needed! The owner was very helpful in pointing out places to visit during my stay.
