Amazing place with a marvelous view on the volcano and lake. You'll hear and see many different birds in the surroundings and the breakfast is delicious: fried plantain, rice and beans, scrambled egg, fresh juice and coffee. Also there are cats and cute dogs (three puppies).

Incredible friendly host. One of the nicest people we have met in Costa Rica, loads of good local advice and really looked out for us (especially during trickier weather during the rainy season). Amazing location with great views, and loads of awesome things to do within a short distance. We will 100% return here if we have the opportunity, incredible couldn't fault it.

Twin Palms Hostel is the best option if you want to get a taste of real authentic Costa Rican hospitality and way of life. Lili and her granddaughter greeted us, waited for us when necessary, and made delicious fresh breakfast every morning. The hostel is just starting, so there is still some work to be done, and don't expect luxury this is not about that. But don't let this discourage you - Lili will make sure to offer the best rates in town and discounts that even the parks themselves don't offer. Although the location is a bit outside of the town - like 20 minutes walking - the shuttle for any tour booked through Lili is included and there are affordable taxi/uber options. I also strongly recommend walking if you feel like it because we saw many birds and even an armadillo crossing the road, on our way to the closest restaurant. The neighborhood is very local and safe and local people will salute you on the street, it really seems so welcoming and outside the tourist mess that can be found in the center. Highly recommended for the authentic and affordable stay in Monteverde!

Nice and cozy room with private terrace and a very well equipped kitchen. Everything was very clean and well mantained. The pool was very nice and also we had a great view from our terrace. Staff was extremely nice. We would definetely stay here again if we travel in La Fortuna in future. Best choice!

Absolutely THE BEST!!! Room #1 has view of Arenal Volcano. Sebastian greeted me upon arrival, took my luggage up the stairs to room #1, and suggested that I take a moment to relax after my 4-hour shuttle ride to this location. Afterwards, Sebastian stopped back by to see all I may be interested in during my stay, then he made arrangements for me to take a tour the very next day. Upon leaving the last day, Sebastian arranged for shuttle to the airport. My apartment room was so clean, I felt guilty about walking through there with shoes on. I had everything I needed to cook in the kitchen, and the cookware were quality material. This place is within 3 minutes walking distance to the market and panderia! Nice peaceful neighborhood. I loved it here, and am looking forward to coming back!!!
