the whole hotel is really uniquely beautiful design piece with magnificent views to several directions. the rooms were each different and with great views. we had one double room and one studio and both of them were spacious and with great views. Our room had a large terrace. All the common areas were fantastically designed and with lots of light. The place really has soul and the architect has succeeded in creating a wonderful place to stay. The host was most friendly. he knew the areas restaurants well and suggested and reserved us a cozy restaurant with one if the best dinners we ate in Provence on this trip. you would do well to reserve some time to visit both of the nearby villages. Our dogs were welcome as well. The breakfast consisted of three different kinds of bread, yoghurts, several kinds if jam, juices and nuts. Bring your camera to take photos of the hotel inside and out and be sure to rise early in the morning to catch the sunrise on the mountainranges and village silhouette. The place has vineyard and olive trees coming up. The hotel is very new but the hosts were very experienced in hotels. we felt most welcome and will return

If you are fortunate enough to stay at Le Domaine du Castellas, you won’t regret it. The property is secluded, and once you arrive, you may not feel the need to do much touring, but that is precisely why it deserves a place in your holiday. This is not just accommodation, it is one of life’s special experiences that will stay with you for many years. The journey along the long, narrow road is soon forgotten when the property opens up before you. The views, tranquillity, beautifully appointed rooms, and exceptional service make it all worthwhile. We left already knowing we would return, something that rarely happens. The staff play a huge part in the magic here. From the talented chef to the gardening team, front of house, and the meticulous Elsa Picaud Dor, who we believe is the reason the property is so immaculate, every detail is cared for with dedication. We often come across wonderful properties with potential, but it is rare to find somewhere as special as this. If you are in the area, I would also suggest staying at Domaine Les Martins, closer to Gordes, which makes a perfect combination. David and Régis are outstanding hosts, and if you are lucky enough to find a room, you must experience their level of service. Together, these two properties offer an experience every bit as good as Airelles Gordes, La Bastide, but with far more local charm.
