Great overnight stop. Very quiet. The old building is amazing inside and they've thought of every little detail. I really liked the chains and lifting gear left from the old mill. Nice walk alongside the river on an old railway line, and lovely old station building.

I loved this place, and especially their beautiful garden. We sat there each evening. Pascal and Katherine are wonderful hosts and nothing was too much trouble. My French improved a lot, as I spoke it a each day. It is an area with little English. Pascal's food was delicious too. Breakfast was huge! Please be aware, that you really need a car here. We were aware and travelled a lot. It is a lovely and quiet part of France. This, for us, was the perfect place for what we wanted.

Absolutely gorgeous place to stay! So FULL of character and interest in such a pretty rural village. Perfect situation for us visiting a War Cemetary and heading for Ijmuiden from our Pyrenéean Adventure. Warmest of warm and witty welcomes from Simon and Dad Charles who generously credits Simon with being The Boss! Both are clearly hugely talented. Breakfast is being prepared early for us as we have a long journey....no trouble. Simon brought freshly picked grapes for us soon after our arrival..delicious. Excited about the prospect of fried fresh eggs from Simon's hens in an hours time! Our apartment is so characterful and luxurious...linen and toiletries and books and things of interest, and when we call again anyone who can play table tennis within 10K had better look out...I'm good!!!
