we absolutely loved the guesthouse. We stayed in room 3 for our trip to see Taylor Swift in concert in Edinburgh and the bedroom was beautifully decorated, comfortable and cozy. We really enjoyed the snacks provided and had a great time.

Good location just a bit outside of Edinburgh city center, but lots of shops, restaurants and pubs in the neighborhood. It just takes about 20 mins to walk to the old town and there is a bus stop opposite the guest house. The room was absolutely clean and the beds were comfortable.

When we got here it was so cosy and warm in the room. The room and bathroom overall were really nice and the owner was so sweet. It‘s in a side street so there were nice car noises in the night. It is still possible to walk to the city centre (~30min) and the next bus stop (~3min) and supermarket (~10min) is very nearby. We really enjoyed our time in Edinburgh and would come back.

It was an absolutely pleasant stay with Rosehall Hotel! The hotel is located half an hour on foot from the Old Town, but there are bus stops nearby if you don’t feel like walking. The area is safe. The place itself is lovely! It’s clean, cosy, quiet. The bed I had was so comfortable! I loved the decor of my room. It was also nicely warm. All the amenities needed were provided. Miss Jennifer was the nicest and most helpful person ever. I will definitely love to stay at Rosehall if I get to come back to Edinburgh. Highly recommend.

The Gifford House is very cozy. You quickly feel at home there. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful. From the Gifford House you can get to the top of Arthur's Seat quite quickly. It takes about 25 to 30 minutes to walk to the city center. However, there is a stop for the Lothian buses in the immediate vicinity of the house. Lines 30 and 33 take you quickly to the center. We will stay at the Gifford House again on our next visit to Edinburgh.

    Location was excellent. Tucked away, surrounded by a large well kept garden making the property quiet and private. The room was a in a separate coach house annex with its own little patio area. Good coffee and tea making facilities and a small fridge.
