Gorgeous location. Loads of brilliant walking trails literally on the doorstep. We did a big walk on the first day. The views from Beeston castle are amazing, and the terrain you walk through is nice and varied (forest, fields, hills...). On our second day we basically stayed at the Bickerton Poacher eating and chilling out either in our nice room or in the pub. Food was delicious and always really hot. Breakfast was included and you could choose whatever you want off the breakfast menu (everything from porridge to full English to pancakes, with great veggie options too). Staff were very helpful. We travelled by train to Chester and then took a taxi the rest of the way (16 quid for an uber, 45 on the way back with the local taxi company). I would absolutely reccommend to anyone wanting to go on a walking getaway in Cheshire.

Nicola, wonderful host. Provided a hot n hearty breakfast, cooked to order. Cottage is a good size, charming n warm... underfloor heating :) V.comfy king-size bed, tea n pod coffee w milk provided. Plenty of fluffy white towels w bonus towel robes in the cupboard! Toiletries also provided. Parking provided on the property. Nicola recommended The Boat Restaurant, [near Hollies Farm B&B]. Dinner was OUTSTANDING!!! This place also provides for kids. Go! You won't regret it :]

Oh where do I begin this was the most amazing place to stay. Everything about this place exceeded our expectations. The hotel is stunning and in a stunning location. The room wow wow wow, bed was comfy and the room was huge the bathroom was fitted with all modern fittings and features, this is our favourite place we’ve stayed in the UK. We had dinner in the restaurant OMG it was the best meal we’ve had in England. Breakfast was also so so good. The staff were all amazing and friendly. I would book to stay here if I was in this area again one million per cent.

WOW!! Amazing hosting for there first time not too much and not too little, I felt right at home and at ease and trusted being a solo traveler in there beautiful detached house with ample parking in a quiet cul de sac in a nice little village of st Martin which has places for walkers and other adventurers u have Wales just ten minutes away and waterfalls and castles to visit in the area it has local shops and a pub. The rooms are perfect with lovely good size en suites with lovely warm showers, Ellie and mick and dog Bobby were great will definitely stay again
