A really unusual, quirky place to stay in Marlborough and we loved it! A great deal of thought has been put into every detail. After 4 days of hiking the Ridgeway traditional and traditional English breakfasts, it was actually very refreshing to have fresh fruit bowls and morning oats etc. All in all, an awesome place to spend a couple of nights in Marlborough.

Excellent find. Booked 1 night and extended another 2. If you are looking for a real 15th century pub with its wonky floors, walls and doors, but a bit of modern luxury, this is it. Great location, staff and rooms.

This charming family-run guesthouse has an attractive and tranquil setting in the midst of the rolling Marlborough Downs, with great access to the region’s major road network.

Our gracious host, the wonderful Ellie, welcomed me and others with such genuine hospitality that we instantly felt at ease. Her attention to detail is evident in every corner of the house – from the lovingly curated art that adorns the walls to the tasteful décor that blends character with comfort so effortlessly. Every room is immaculate, yet lived-in and full of soul, like a place with stories to tell. The most delicious breakfast – lovingly prepared and beautifully presented - was a perfectly cooked full English, every bite an absolute delight. And adding to the magic are her two adorable dogs, who are the sweetest presence, adding to the homely, welcoming atmosphere of the B&B. This is a little slice of beauty, charm, and comfort, tucked away in Calne, lovingly tended by someone who truly understands the art of hospitality. I can't recommend it highly enough – I shall certainly be returning!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the place. It is like a fancy Motel. It is ideally situated from a travel point of view, but there is nothing in the immediate vicinity to speak of. It is right next to and part of a big Restaurant and Bar which is of high quality with excellent service, really good.

Situated on the outskirts of the village of Shefford Woodlands, The Pheasant Inn boasts a traditional restaurant and a cosy bar with an open fire.
