It was clean and very comfortable, facilities were very good, staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, food was excellent and reasonably priced. Travelling on my own with my dog can be difficult but the pub and staff made it easy, I would highly recommended it.

Carol was very friendly and welcoming. The inn has a cosy atmosphere with a little chill area with sofas and a small pub, which I really enjoyed. I loved the wooden staircase decorated with pictures, art and a mirror, it gave the place so much character. My room was the smallest one, but it was beautifully decorated, very comfortable and had everything I needed: a double bed, tea/coffee facilities, an ironing board and a bathroom with enough towels. Breakfast was also lovely, with several different options, and it was served with juice and tea or coffee. Overall, a wonderful and cosy experience.

We only stayed for one night, as we were going to the Newark Showground, the following day. It was lovely! Excellent location, only 10 mins away from our destination. We were welcomed on arrival,and offered advice on nearby eating houses....The room was great, , the shower was lovely (girls remember your shower cap)as it was an overhead shower....Tea and coffee supplied...bed was so comfy! Breakfast was continental ,brought at the time,we requested...Nice & quiet ...would definitely stay again..
