Very homely, the room had lots of extras like blanket and heater but also a ceiling fan. The double bed was cosy. I appreciated the kitchenette which had plenty of supplies, there was a range of drinks, even filter coffee & fresh milk in a little fridge, which I was also able to use for my own food. The bathroom was very clean and in fact everything was super clean and the bathroom had recently had a stand up shower fitted and various complimentary items. It was nice that I didn’t have to share the bathroom . I am definitely booking again for a longer trip.

Booked as a last minute stay. Lovely room and the most comfortable bed. We had dinner when we arrived, which was delicious. Continental breakfast was served in the room, which was equipped with a toaster, kettle, cafetiere and fridge - more food than we could eat. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Went for a wedding at the pheasantry brewery. Good location for the wedding either by car or taxi. Excellent breakfast and the room had everything you need. After a long journey the owner had already booked a table for the evening meal which was excellent. Very friendly staff . Would definitely recommend. Breakfast was superb.

The Lions made for a lovely stop over on my way from London to Scotland. Pablo and John are very friendly and welcoming hosts. The breakfast was fabulous. I only wish I could have stayed longer!

We only stayed for one night, as we were going to the Newark Showground, the following day. It was lovely! Excellent location, only 10 mins away from our destination. We were welcomed on arrival,and offered advice on nearby eating houses....The room was great, , the shower was lovely (girls remember your shower cap)as it was an overhead shower....Tea and coffee supplied...bed was so comfy! Breakfast was continental ,brought at the time,we requested...Nice & quiet ...would definitely stay again..
