It was all very clean, new, airconditioning! and the owners are so sweet!! Also, good breakfast with banana pancake and fruit. The owner helped me a lot by arranging the boat tour and drive to Bajawa. I was also able to rent his scooter. There is the cutest dog and chickens walking around. Just lovely !

Sometimes it is the people who make a place truly special. At Bintang Wisata Riung we were warmly welcomed by the owners. They are not just friendly, they are genuinely kind and truly care about making you feel comfortable. One real highlight: the owner has his own boat and offers private tours to the 17 Islands. It was an experience we will not forget. Snorkelling at beautiful spots, crystal clear water, almost no other people, and flying foxes in the trees. Moments that really stay with you. The barbecue on a small island was simply fantastic. Fresh fish, plenty of food, and absolutely delicious. It was personal, relaxed, and far away from mass tourism. The accommodation was good, clean, and perfectly fine for our stay. The breakfast was rich and varied. Everything fit together perfectly and we felt completely at ease. If you are looking for more than just a place to stay in Riung and want real experiences, Bintang Wisata Riung is exactly the right choice. We can recommend this place from the heart.

Paul and his family are the best hosts. Staying at Riung Gesthouse is as being invited by friends. He comes at apéro time to propose a Bintang; he can organise anything. We were even invited to the wedding of a member of the owners’ family

Absolutely spotless homestay in convenient location 10 minutes walk from the harbour. Our hosts were a lovely family who couldn't have been more helpful. We arranged a boat trip of 17 islands marine park with them and had a great time. This was the nicest, cleanest and best value accommodation we stayed in in Flores.

Amazing place overall! Pretty Comfortable rooms and easy to meet other travellers. Mentos is an amazing guy, he arrange a nice tour for us to the 17 islands and then made a cake for my birthday that we enjoyed at the homestay with a couple of bintangs.

Pot of gold – 30 mins drive from Riung Modern clean room with ensuite, aircon and comfy bed. But the owners are the real gems. Maria is so kind and hospitable, and her meals are plentiful and delicious. We spent a day on the beach, and she arranged fresh coconut drinks for us – no charge. Enjoyed 4 wonderful nights, enjoying their hospitality and local knowledge. The food was wonderful with lots of local produce. The activities of cycling, and particularly the kayaking up river was great. Excellent cold beer. Plenty of homemade electricity, but very little phone service or wifi which was very refreshing.
