I can't recommend Thistledown Lodge enough. Martin & Enda made us feel welcome from the first minute on. The lodge is very stylish. Our room was very clean, well equipped, comfortable & quiet. The cooked vegetarian breakfast was excellent - it's always a plus if there are vegan/vegetarian options apart from muesli&yogurt. The place also has a very spacious outdoor-gym and a cosy sitting-area to enjoy drink or two. :)

Facing the seafront, Marsh Mere Lodge is a bed and breakfast providing a 4-star accommodation in Arthurstown. It features a garden, shared lounge and private parking.

I did a trip around all of Ireland and this was by far the BnB with the most character. The house is gorgeous and full of history. The breakfast is completely homemade from largely local produce and it shows. If you ask nicely, you get to meet the owner's corgis!

We had a lovely greeting at the reception and the lady walked us to our room insisting to help carry our bags. The food was exceptional .. we had evening meal in the beautiful restaurant, breakfast the following morning and lunch that afternoon before going home. The staff are very attentive and friendly. We enjoyed drinks in the bar and live music and had a brilliant night. The area around is stunning with the beach right outside the hotel. The cliff walk and harbour are nearby.

I just loved it! Aine is the best host! She is kind and welcoming. The house was very comfortable, warm and cozy, as well as the bedroom. Everything was clean and organized. The house is close to the bus stop where you can take to bus into town (waterford), it runs every hour and it takes about 15min to get there. She offers a good range of breakfast options (cereal, oatmeal, fruit, soda bread, coffee or tea). There is a café at walking distance where I could have a great Irish breakfast too! It's close to gas station, restaurants and pub. And Benji was just great!!! I couldn't have chosen better!

We absolutely loved it. The building is gorgeous inside & out. We initially only booked this place for the beauty of the quaint restaurant below. But our room was great, the best combination of cozy & modern. The bathroom was freshly renovated, clean, and very large. The spacious shower was a blessing. We had a cute little balcony adorned with ivy. The room was much larger than I expected, and the bed comfortable. We had no time to turn on the huge flatscreen. But there was so much room for sitting & storing our stuff. The restaurant was wonderful, the staff polite & friendly, the food to die for. I was pleasantly surprised to find vegan options. The vegetable curry was delicious (and to my request, not spicy). We would definitely stay here again. In fact, I might just travel to Irland to stay in this wonderful place for a week or two as a retreat.
