The owners are such a nice couple, very kind. We really enjoyed our days at hostel+cafe. The place is beautiful, very clean and confortable. The food was very tasty, Japanese traditional breakfast. We strongly recommend it.

The accommodation is a very big tradition Japanese house. The host is very friendly and interesting. You may request the host to prepare (DIY) BBQ for dinner. It is delicious and interesting, highly recommended. They heat the volcano stone to cook the BBQ.

Our stay was perfect! We decided to enjoy the beauty of Aso a bit longer and booked the house quite late, but everything went great. The host was very kind and communicated with us in English. When we arrived, it felt like visiting parents in a cozy country home — we felt so comfortable. And the breakfast was delicious! I had a good stay and saw the amazing shrine and cave that I didn't know about. Place is in a beautiful area, in the mountains. Easily connected by public transportation by bus to Takachiho. It was very comfortable stay, a bit loud in the morning when outer guests were getting ready. Everything very clean, private room spacious. Good wifi, microwave, tea, all that I needed was there. Check out was at 10 but they were very kind when I asked to checkout little bit later which I really appreciate. Overall I recommend

Room is huge, very confortable and amazing. The view is beautiful. The place is very calm. We went by car, parking is in front of the building. We cheked-in late (21h30) and the host welcomed us! The lady was very kind and helpfull. Even if she doesn't speak english and us neither speaking japonese we understand each other very well!
