Our stay was perfect! We decided to enjoy the beauty of Aso a bit longer and booked the house quite late, but everything went great. The host was very kind and communicated with us in English. When we arrived, it felt like visiting parents in a cozy country home — we felt so comfortable. And the breakfast was delicious! Stunning! Well thought out private dwelling, with juliet balcony where your bed is. Little kitchenette, with fridge. The bathroom is big and well planned out. There is a wood burning stove in the corner of the room so you can make it warm and cosy (there is also a heater/ac/fan, for all temps!). We were only there one night and paid to have an evening meal there. Four courses cooked by the owner, all locally sourced, delicious! Highly recommend this place. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the hiking in the nearby national park.

The host was excellent. She took time with us when we arrived and let us try on traditional Japanese outfit. In the evening she even took us into the city to a local market to get dinner. Extremely friendly and courteous host.

Owner of the guesthouse made us feel very welcomed. We had a large room and plenty room to hang out, both private and common area. It was an authantic Japanese house and we could use also her kitchen and wash machine. She preapared beatiuful and tasty breakfast everyday. She was also very helpful with her recomendations.
