It quickly became our peaceful little haven after a day in the sun. But what truly set this place apart was the warmth of the hosts—Suman, Mallika, and their family. They greeted us even during our early arrival, having our room already prepared . Mallika’s home‑cooked Sri Lankan breakfast on the terrace was a daily treat—delicious, generous, and served with heartfelt kindness . The atmosphere is so relaxed and welcoming—complete with friendly cats, chickens wandering through the garden, and a homely ambience that truly made us feel “at home” . They went above and beyond by helping arrange tuk‑tuks, and transfers, you name it—with helpful, local insider knowledge . We stayed in the wonderful village of Nilavelli, with the owner, Mr. Suresh. Everything was wonderful, the ocean is close. Mr. Suresh is very attentive, kind, solved all our questions: cooked dinner, ordered a tuk-tuk and a transfer. It was a very cool trip! A place where you want to return.

This is the best place we stayed in Sri Lanka on our one month long trip! Gorgeous beach, the kindest owner, great wifi, clean and the most relaxing, beautiful hut! They also have someone offering snorkelling trips to pigeon island who is the kindest guide and I would 100% recommend doing! This hotel is slightly more pricey, but absolutely worth it!
