We loved everything about our stay - its a perfect introduction to Penang's historical center and that authentic vibe. Our favourite part was the interior - the house is full of unique details and original touches. Stayed at 2 Aayu properties while I was in Penang and good experience at both largely due to the on-site staff. The team are super responsive and full of good information about the local area. The two places I stayed in were refurbished heritage buildings so the sound insulation is not perfect but if you have respectful guests around you then it’s fine. The rooms I chose weren’t huge but they didn’t claim to be and the shared spaces are well maintained and good spots to chill.
