The hosts are wonderful people who provided us with a very warm welcome and lovely kindness. We really enjoyed chatting with our interesting hosts who treated us and our children with the warmest of hospitality. Ganesh gave us some really excellent local recommendations which did not disappointment. The location, room, breakfast and garden are all just fantastic. Super pretty and comfortable! Lovely to see the inside of this gorgeous Newari house. Quiet at night (but busy during the day), nice and flexible staff, just by a cute and lovely village square and temple. Very lovely inner courtyard and wood carving exhibit.

The most welcoming accomodation we had so far, after more than a month spent in Nepal. The room was really clean with hot shower running. It is located in the middle of everything in Bhaktapur. The personal spoke really good English and gave us help with anything we needed! Also they offered us really good typical Newari lunch with amazing view on the roof. Amazing!

    Sumira and family were so welcoming and helpful. I really felt like being home. Perfect family guest house to stay in Bhaktapur. They helped me beyond the needs. The room was super nice and confy. Quiet street right in the city center, like an oasis. Beautiful terrace too. No doubt I will come back.

    This was my second visit to the Peacock and it was just as charming as I’d remembered. It’s a very old house with a warren of rooms and walkways leading to them all. Each guest can squirrel themselves away from the hubbub outside (it was Nepali new year) and rest in the cool and quiet. The owner and staff go out of their way to help with any query and the breakfast and coffee are delicious (esp the royal curd). I’ll be back again one day, I love watching Bhaktapur from the steps outside the house.

    Great location next to the main square, friendly and welcoming staff, spacious comfortable room with attached bathroom. Excellent value for money. Good food (cheap too), though it took us a day to realise that they operate as a restaurant too, they are so laid back and unassuming!
