Trish and Colin were great hosts: we felt like house guests rather than paying customers. The selection at breakfast was fantastic: eggs laid by their own hens, home-made bread and muffins etc. The sheep and the chickens did not seem too bothered by us.... Ropatinis is located in one of the two main streets in Fox Glazier so the location cannot be more central. It was also a privilege to admire the beautiful wooden furniture and flax baskets made by Colin.

The hut had a nice homey feel, the electric fireplace did an excellent job at keeping us warm! The bed was incredibly comfortable. We liked the book about the owners family- nice touch.

Absolutely amazing this place is fantastic! Bernie & Gerard are very lovely, kind and caring. The accomodation is clean and spacious. The location is excellent if you want to enjoy your time in Franz Josef with great hikes around. You have a lot of choice for breakfast which is very delightful. Bernie & Gerard go above and beyond everything with their service. I definitely recommend this on all aspects its by far the best place in Franz Josef
