It is very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The house is a mini mansion and was better than what we expected. Maria and Yannick made us feel comfortable and treated us like we were family. Tugged away from the rest of the world, Ja opened a room of her ancestor's home to guests who would like to experience what it's like to live in Cape Verdian raw country side - which includes being offline, taking cold showers with a bucket and a mug, sleeping in pin drop silence (apart from the roosters), walking in the steep hills, etc. One can go with a shared taxi until the roundabout of Sao Domingos. From there, a local can come and pick you up for 300 ESC, or you can walk (it's absolutely safe, the locals are friendly and helpful, location on the map is accurate). They can also drop you to the airport for 1500 ESC, and it just takes 30mins to reach. Ja knows how to cook for vegetarians, too. She is a witty and interesting host to talk to. I am still amazed at the purity and simplicity of this place, and hope to be back one day.

A lot of fresh local fruits and drinks. Mamadou our host was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay a lot, our daughter (7y) loved it as well.The pool was super nice and the view so beautiful. Everything was very clean.
