The breakfast was fabulous, with plenty of options. The pool was big and I usually had it to myself. The location was perfect, close to everything but peaceful.

It's a very peaceful place .Garden looks amazing like on the picture also have very nice natural pool.We stay in bungalow and we loved it. Location of the place is perfect one street over from the beach and all restaurants walkable everywhere.Hosts Alex and Kamille were very helpful and welcoming. i will definitely recommend Casa Picaflor. We’ve been coming to Las Terrenas for 20 years and have experienced quite a few accommodations. This year was our first stay at "Casa Barbara". The property is away from the noise and, with only three bungalows, it's peaceful and clearly arranged. Drinking water is automatically refilled by the host and not charged. Electricity, internet, and hot water are stable. Even though the beach is only a 5-minute walk away, the pool is a great alternative on cloudy days. There are plenty of shaded lounging and seating areas, and coffee and cold water are also available by the pool. The cleaning lady does an excellent job. The kitchen is very well equipped by Dominican hotel standards—we didn’t miss a thing during our two-week stay. After this experience, Casa Barbara will be the only place we stay.

Since we had some important questions to ask, we contacted the hotel 4-5 times before the arrival. The communication was fast and effective and we were satisfied with the answers. When we came, we found the staff super friendly and assisting every way they could. Mr. Sergi Martorell, the manager, was very efficient in solving the problems that have arisen and answering multiple questions we had regarding our week stay in las Terrenas. He was always at the hotel, speaking with guests, inquiring about their day. The hotel is surrounded by an idyllic lush garden. The cottages (we lived in number 21) are nicely designed with a lot of beautiful pictures inside and on the porch as well as colourful furniture. The kitchen has all amenities necessary for making meals and coffee. Both bedrooms have bathrooms. The house was very clean when we arrived. The location is fabulous, a 3 minute walk to the closest sandy beach from which you can stroll long distances both directions. In many cases we were the only ones to swim in the sea in a particular spot. The cafes and restaurants can be found as close as a 5-10 minute walk. When we return to las Terrenas, we will be happy to stay at the same hotel again.
