It looked maybe surprisingly well inside, very nice room, clean, big shower. Window facing the roundabout is well soundproofed. One can make toast and coffee in the lounge area in the morning, which is a very nice touch. No reception, but the staff I was chatting with was very nice.

Located in the small town of Broto, a 5-minute walk from the Ara River, Hotel Rural El Portón de Murillo features a garden with a seasonal pool and terrace. Beautiful property. Great location.

The owners of the hotel only opened the hotel a couple of months ago, but it feels like they have done it for years! The breakfast was very good and was clearly prepared by the hosts themselves. Room 1, is not the biggest room (like the hotel owner told us), but it has a nice view on the Fiscal valley and surrounding mountains. (Looking at the sunrise from out of bed is a perfect moment to start the day) Small note to show the kindness of the hotel owners: when we brought back an unfinished bottle of wine to our hotel room, we could find the next day two glasses, because the hosts assumed it would be better to drink it from actual wine glasses, instead of plastic cups. And they were right :) The small village of Fiscal is very quiet and most convenient to access the Parque Natural de Ordessa and Monteperdido. Fiscal is on a 30' drive to the valley access.

This castle was fabulous with a lot of history. It’s so beautifully decorated inside and very, very clean. The beds were very comfortable and of course it’s very tranquil with only the noise from the geese in the pond in front. The owner is super nice and helpful. He has 3 Spanish Mastín dogs that a huge, but super sweet. It’s about a 15 minute drive into Huesca. We loved our stay in this historic castle.

It was beautifully simple. Miriam was a fabulous hostess, as she knows the area and especially the hiking so well. Breakfasts were excellent. It is a gem in a beautiful place.
