If I could give a higher rating, I would. It was an unforgettable stay, both for the location and the hosts. The property is stunning, and our room was equally so. Everything is completely new and stilysh. We immediately felt at ease, thanks to Christophe and his wife. They are lovely and very very hospitable people. They really care about their guests making sure everything is perfect for them. The breakfasts were excellent everything was homemade by Milène. Last but not least they also have a great care for children by providing plays and all the necessary for breakfast even. Staying with them was definitely an added value to our trip to Normandy-Brittany.

The property is literally along the canal—an old lockkeepers’s house— but beautifully and comfortably updated. Catch sunset along the canal before climbing into the most comfortable bed you will find along the trail. Very bike-friendly, with locked bike storage and free clothes washing. As the listing notes, Catherine will provide breakfast for an extra fee but be sure to pick up ingredients for your dinner (at the town nearby) before checking in and you have access to the kitchen for meal prep.
