The area is surrounded by rice fields and it’s very beautiful to walk around for the sunset. Dila is very kind and welcoming. She borrowed us her scooter to go to the city center and she advised us on few restaurants and cafes. And we also had a chance to spend a day together. Dila showed us around Padang .. beautiful waterfall, jungles hike. The place is calm and we had a good rest. Totally recommend!

We booked with Jhony for our jungle trekking to see orangutans. It was the best decision ever! We saw orangutans and gibbon and long tail monkeys. The entire experience was great, the best food, great itinerary, where we stayed was very comfortable, and to end all the rafting was super super fun. Everything beat our expectations and it was all for a very fair price. Jhony was a great tour guide and so was his younger tour guide in training Lana who will be a guide next year. Lana was fantastic and super great with us and of course Jhony was too. Thank you so much to you both and we will definitely recommend you. If you’re coming to Bukit Lawang definitely book your tour with Jhony!

Super close to the start of the treks and a lovely view of the river. Staff helped book the tours and transport in and out of Bukit Lawang.

L'endroit est très beau et cosy, les chambres sont très jolies aussi et pas d'insectes dedans. Nous avons fait le jungle trek de deux jours, c'est vraiment une experience à ne pas rater ! Nous avons vu 3 orang outans et d'autres espèces de singes. Notre guide Ahmad et son assisant Rahmmad ont mis l'ambiance durant tout le trek avec pleins d'anecdotes et beaucoup de bonne humeur ! La nourriture était très bonne (ils tiennent compte des intolérances alimentaires des clients sans problèmes) et on reçoit beaucoup de bons fruits. Le logement sur des matelas sur une bâche sous un abri dans la jungle permettait de profiter au maximum de cet environnement sans être atteint par les fortes pluies. Il y a une moustiquaire et c’est situé tout près de la rivière.

This is a wonderful guest house in a peaceful location, a 30 minute walk along the river. Porters are available for a small fee. A fabulous view into the jungle. Arif, Riski and the girls in the kitchen provide a friendly, laid-back atmosphere and create amazing meals. All the guests eat dinner together, a great communal experience. Some of the rooms have outside jungle bathrooms. Staying here was the highlight of our trip to Indonesia.

This is the best place to experience the true bukit lawang - almost tourist free. I stayed here with my baby for more than a week and we’ve felt so like home here. The river is absolutely stunning with deep pools, shallow pools and a sandbank!! You are also so close to the national park, and the stream of water directly from the mountain (just a 5min walk away). Every mornings and evenings we are greeted with unique jungle music and sounds of orang utans (now and then). We even spotted a big male orang utan right at the back of our room once. Food and fruit juices were absolutely delicious and people here are very friendly. They played with my daughter very much like family and it made our stay a very comfortable one. If you’re coming with family or babies, you can request for the upper big room with shelves and is more spacious. The view from the balcony is absolutely stunning.
