She was as sweet as can be. The location is beautiful. Beautiful pastures with a lake view in the distance. The sheep out on the rolling hills. Yet this tranquil location was close enough to several cities for restaurants and exploring.

We had such a nice stay at Glenvela Guest House and were a bit sad we only stayed for one night. Everything was exceptionally clean, our room and the whole house were lovely (every room has their private bathroom) and the breakfast left nothing to be desired. However, the best thing about our stay were Maureen, Ronald and their three dogs - we could not imagine better hosts, and the dogs welcomed us with much enthusiasm and we were happy to follow their request for extensive cuddling (I must add that the dogs are kept in a private area of the house and the hosts only let them out when the guests are comfortable).

Absolutely beautiful location. The room and house is gorgeous, but I stood out by the lake for an hour or more just looking at the scenery. There is also a nearby glen with a creek running to the lake.

The room was very clean and comfortable, with every detail thoughtfully considered. In the morning, we enjoyed a lovely breakfast with our hosts, which turned out to be the highlight of our stay.
