The family-run Guesthouse 1x6 is in the old part of Keflavík, a 7-minute drive from Keflavik International Airport and a 20-minute drive from the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa. It offers free WiFi and its own geothermal hot pool. The owners were very kind and happy people. The place was super cute and the pool was amazing. Also the breakfast was special. It was all organic and tasty.

Raven’s Bed & Breakfast is a converted traditional cow house which has been renovated into a unique guest house. The original wooden beams and certain decorative items remain from its past. Just 7 minutes’ drive from Keflavík International Airport, this B&B features an outdoor hot tub and a furnished terrace. WiFi and parking are free. Absolutely fantastic! Nice decor, quiet area, great hosts!

The property features garden views and is 45 km from The Pearl and 47 km from Hallgrímskirkja Church. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. The accommodation was exactly what I was looking for. It was very clean and maintained to a high standard. Hanna Maria answered any queries I had promptly and gave me some good advice about how to get around. There is a local bus (no 55) which stops a few streets away, but it was very cold and windy the day I arrived so I took a taxi from the airport. I did however take this bus into Reykjavik one day and it came on time. It's more reasonably priced than taking the FlyBus shuttle from the airport. The room I stayed in was nice and cosy and perfect for one person. It was useful to have the Extra24 supermarket just up the road too, which is open all night! The kitchen had everything one could possibly need and the communal area was nice, with a large dining table and a tv, for anyone who wants to use that room. I went in November. I was originally booked to go earlier in the year, when the weather would have been warmer, but had to postpone my trip. Not too far from the guest house is the Duus Museum, which I can highly recommend, and, for anyone with children, there is Giganta's cave, home of a character in the story of Sigga and the Giantess, by the Icelandic author Herdís Egilsdóttir!

Guesthouse Keflavik by Reykjavik Keflavik Airport’s simple rooms have private or shared bathrooms. Satellite TV, armchairs and desks are standard in all. I had initially booked a room at the guesthouse but got a free hotel upgrade upon arrival. It was amazing - the room was clean, cozy and comfortable and the breakfast was superb. If you are looking for a room to stay on your way to/from Iceland, Hotel/Guesthouse Keflavik is the place to stay at!
