At first I was surprised by the good ratings, but it was indeed well deserved! The staff was very friendly and the guesthouse is very spacious, with a great view to the mountain and the sea. Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. I really liked the Guest House, it nice and cosy and felt like home. Really cute little touches as well. The staff were extremely friendly and the facilities were great too. My private room had everything I needed and again there was a cute welcome and thank you note. I’d definitely stay at the Guest House again.
